City police are looking for a man after a downtown Barrie bank was robbed Monday morning.

Police were called just before 10 a.m. about a robbery in progress at Scotiabank at 44 Collier St. 

Police say a man entered the bank and approached the counter, telling staff he had a weapon and was robbing the bank  before going behind the counter to take cash.

He then fled south on Owen Street just after 9:45 a.m.

No one was physically injured during the robbery, police said.

Investigators are looking for a man six feet tall and wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, faded dark denim pants and black running shoes with a white sole.
