Domestic call shuts down section of Main Street in Wasaga Beach

WASAGA BEACH - On Thursday, March 21, 2019 the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic related incident at Main Street in the town of Wasaga Beach.

On March 21, 2019 at approximately 3:50 p.m. police responded to a residence on Main Street, where a domestic related incident was reported with a possible firearm involved. Members of the Huronia West OPP attended the residence and set up containment in the area.

This incident has ended without further incident. Police are advising there is no longer a threat to public safety. This incident is still under investigation and further information will be released once it becomes available. No arrest has been made in relation to this incident at this time.
