Complaint leads to impaired charges for TBM woman

Collingwood Ontario Provincial Police officers issued drinking and driving charges against a woman they stopped in Collingwood yesterday afternoon after receiving a complaint from a concerned citizen. 

Officers from the local OPP detachment received the complaint shortly after 4 p.m. on Dec. 5 about vehicle on Sixth Street, and located the vehicle and driver a short time later. 

"The investigation determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol," states a news release from OPP. The female driver was arrested and taken to the OPP detachment for processing. 

A 55-year-old woman from The Blue Mountains was charged with operation while impaired and driving with a blood alcohol content over the legal limit. She will face the charges in court in Owen Sound on Feb. 2, 2023.
