Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested the driver after receiving a tip from a civilian.
A member of the public called police with a report of a suspicious vehicle on Lower Valley Road in Grey Highlands on Aug. 17 around 6:45 a.m.
Officers responding to the call confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen, and they arrested the driver.
Melancthon Township resident, Alexander Friest, 35, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, obstructing a peace officer, possession of break-in instruments, and possession of a schedule I substance.
The accused was held pending a bail hearing where they were remanded into custody.
