On May 29, 2020, shortly before 10:30 a.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Collingwood and Huronia West Detachment's Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) was assisted by members of the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) attempt to arrest a subject of an ongoing investigation.
The suspect and passenger fled the scene in a vehicle towards the Blue Shores Development in the Town of Collingwood. OPP members searched the area for several hours. The primary male suspect was arrested shortly after 1 p.m. in Peel Region.
