Man charged with first-degree murder in stabbing of 26-year-old Toronto man

TORONTO — A man has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of a 26-year-old Toronto man.

Toronto police say the stabbing took place in the city's northwest shortly before midnight on Sept. 29.

They say the victim, identified as Khalid Jama, was found wounded in a courtyard.

Police say he died in hospital.

Investigators say Salah Abukar, 26, has now been arrested and charged in Jama's death.

Abukar is due to appear in court by video link today.
