Passed away peacefully, after a short battle with cancer, with family by his side, at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood, on Tuesday, August 7th, 2018, in his 68th year. Howard, beloved husband of Candy (nee Grey) for 48 years. Loving father of Todd (Chyvonne) and Jenny (JP) and devoted Poppa of Avery, Jaeden, Payton, Jase and Ryder.
Dear brother of Charlotte Meesters and the late Ellen, Lauretta, John and loving son of the late Adam and Mary Young. He will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Howie will forever be known as a caring and kind man who was always there to lend a hand to anyone that was lucky enough to cross paths with him. Our lives were richer for having him in it.
We would like to thank the nurses, staff and volunteers at Campbell House Hospice for the love and care Howie received during his short stay there. They showed such compassion to not only him but anyone else that walked through their doors.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Collingwood Leisure Time Club, 100 Minnesota Street, Collingwood, on August 18th, 2018 from 1 – 4 pm. Donations may be made to Georgian Triangle Hospice – Campbell House.
