February 5, 1951 - July 8, 2021, passed away peacefully at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer. John was proud to have served in the Canadian Armed Forces after which he pursued a successful career as a Combustion Technician before becoming a Technical and Technology Consultant to the mining and environmental industries. He was happiest when helping to solve problems and making life easier for all those around him. He was always there for anyone who asked for help. John will be missed forever by his wife of 36 years, Deborah, his daughter Laurie (Andrew) and granddaughters Maddy, Kenzie and Sophie, his son John, stepson Jamie and grandchildren Ryan, Sara, Dakota and Naomi, his sisters Debby, Linda and Jeanne and brother Jim and many nieces and nephews. He travelled a lot for work and had friends all over the world who will miss him. John loved life and everything in it. He has left this world a better place just for being here. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Foundation or Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation for the Cancer Unit.
