NEWSON, Thomas Donald

Passed away suddenly at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital on Friday, January 22, 2021 in his 66th year.  Tom, beloved husband of Barbara Newson for 34 years.   Devoted father of Rachel (Kevin) McCarthy and Laura Newson (fiancé Sam Desjardins).  Proud papa to Shea McCarthy.   Predeceased by his parents Donald and Isobel Newson.  In his spare time, he loved to play golf, squash or ski.  Tom was devoted to his family and friends.  He was the life of any party; he could light up any room with his quick wit and dry sense of humour.  Private family arrangements have been entrusted to Chatterson Funeral Home, Collingwood.  Remembrances of Tom, may be made to Asthma Canada, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
