With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Wayne Logan on Sunday July 17, 2022, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. He left our world peacefully, while listening to his favourite bluegrass music.

He was predeceased by the love of his life Judy. They were happily married for almost 60 years. Their love and compassion towards each other was one of a kind.  Wayne will be deeply missed by his daughter, Karen, his two granddaughters Brittney and Chantelle (Dane), his cat Misty, and all his friends and relatives.

Wayne will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, and grandpa. Family was always a priority for Wayne. He loved everyone so much.

Whether you knew Wayne for a short time or many years, he always made a strong connection with everyone he met. He was a great listener, storyteller, and always put the needs of others first. He was passionate about music and played almost every day. At a very young age, he started playing the fiddle on his Dad’s knee. Prior to opening his own business, he played in a band every weekend. He had his own music studio at home where he played his acoustic guitar and fiddle. After he retired, he learned to play the mandolin and electric guitar, in fact he started taking guitar lessons for the last 4 years.

For 43 years Wayne, with his wife by his side, built a successful State Farm Insurance Agency in Collingwood. They both built strong lasting relationships with many of their clients.

Our family would like to thank the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospital for their loving care. Thank you everyone for all your love through emails, texts, phone calls, cards, flowers, and visits. Wayne was certainly a very special man.

Cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. Friends may visit Wayne’s online Book of Memories at www.fawcettfuneralhomes.com
