Maureen E

Maureen Dawn Evenden passed onwards peacefully at the start of a new day on Thursday January 14, 2021 after 75 years of touching many hearts that knew her and at her home in Wasaga Beach with her family by her side. Her spirit and courageous outlook rising above Cancer for many years is an inspiration.
She will truly be missed by many. Maureen is a Beloved Wife of George Evenden, Loving Mother to Debbie Nixon (Dan Beaudoin), Cherished “Nana” to Trevor Nixon and the late Taylor Nixon.
Daughter of her late parents, Winnifred “Pinkie” and William “George” Williams
Treasured “Big Sister” to Lynda Drake (Joe), Georgina Deforest ( Moe ), Keith Williams (Joanne),  and sister to Doreen Williams ( predeceased in infancy ). Sister in Law to Bruce Evenden (Penny), Late Edith Potter (Joe) and other loved ones.
Fun Aunt to Bill Drake, Lisa Farrugia  (Anthony), Lorraine Panabaker (Dave), Scott Deforest (Alison), Darrin Deforest (Jody), Christie Ryan (Jay), and Katie Turner (Scott).
Great Aunt to Christyana Drake, Jordan Drake, Sarah Farrugia, Amy Farrugia, Jake Panabaker, Mitchell Panabaker, Late Nathan Deforest ( in infancy), Mason Deforest, Owen Deforest, Adam Deforest, Aidan Deforest, Jessica Deforest, Melanie Ryan, Kailey Ryan, Jonathon Turner, and Matthew Turner.
Adored by her step – granddaughter Rachel Latkolik (Peter) and Step – Grandchildren Hannah and Hailey Latkolik. Remembered fondly by step-grandchildren Tobias Beaudoin, Sammi Beaudoin, Karine LaRocque, step niece Jennifer Webster and more loved ones.
Her family and heart continued to grow through the years with more extended family members in both Canada and England including step family relations for many more not mentioned but still withholding a special place in her heart and memories.   If you knew Maureen, fondly known as “Moe”, you knew a Beautiful Classy Lady who loved her Bling and Sparkles with a talent for decorating, fashion, hosting or helping out with special events. Maureen had a trail of close friendships like a second family and bonds with many wherever she went. She enjoyed sunny beaches, travelling, cruising, dancing, games of any kind and above all else her Social time with family and friends full of good times, good laughs, and a good glass of wine. She was a very giving and generous person and kept her sparkle, caring nature, great sense of humour, and zest for Life until her last breath.
We thank many of Maureen’s family, friends, and Health Care workers for all your support and care. As per Maureen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a “Celebration of Life” will occur in the future (TBA) when we are able to do so together, one last party for Maureen.
In the meantime, we encourage family and friends of Maureen’s to share your messages, stories, adventures, pictures, and memories by visiting www.caruthersdavidson.com to sign her Book of Memories (Memory Wall).
If desired, a donation to the Cancer Society in her memory would also be appreciated by her family.
