Hilda Frances (Hynes) Duffy passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on July 21, 2020. She fought a brave battle with cancer and spent her final days at Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood, ON, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Alan Duffy (pre-deceased). Cherished mother of Maureen (Jeff) and Stephanie. Loving sister of Patricia, Stephen, Audrey (Wilfred), Christine (Stanley) and Bruce (Sarah). Adoring aunt of Alexander (Sausha), Scott, Kristopher and Krista. She will be truly be missed as a sister-in-law and aunt to the big Duffy clan. Hilda thought always of others first, having taken a big role in raising her younger siblings, taking care of various younger cousins and then raising her own children, while pursuing a busy career at the Bank of Nova Scotia (40 yrs). She leaves behind many friends and dear colleagues. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctor, nurses and staff at Errinrung Long-Term Care Centre in Thornbury and Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood. Special thanks to Dr. Boyd (at Campbell House), Dr. Yuen, Dr. Russell and the Cancer Centre at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie for treating Hilda with great compassion and care. Due to the ongoing pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Chatterson Funeral Home, Collingwood.
