Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday July 2, 2022 at home at the age of 79.
Norma, beloved wife of the late Ray Dempster (2021). Loving mother of the late Randy Dempster (1988), Bev (Gerry) Goorts, Karen (Russ) Wark, Jamie (Vicki) Dempster. Cherished grandma of Melissa (Brian), Kathrine (Andrew), Rebecca (Brad), Rachel (Brad), Kristen (Scott), Nicole (Zach), Lauren, Alexa, Brenden and Max and great grandmother of Bennett, Leni, William, Benjamin and Jackson. Dear sister of Ruth Poole. Predeceased by her sisters Leila Gray and Betty Borland.
Norma had a love of outdoors and enjoyed spending time camping in Bobcaygeon. She and Ray spent many years wintering in Texas where they made many lifelong friendships. Norma loved her family above all else and will be missed by all who knew her, including her canine companion, Max. She was a kind, gentle soul and is now reunited with Ray and Randy.
Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner, on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, from 11a.m. to 1p.m. Following the visitation there will be a graveside service at Angus Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated by Norma’s family.
