She fought Lung Cancer with courageous positive energy for over 7 years inspiring her family and Doctor’s. Mom’s resting now with her mom and dad and reunited with her daughter Laura. Devoted Sweetheart and wife of Garfield “Gary” Hood. Loving Mamma of Sheley Harshaw (Kevin), and the late Laura Wade. Dear Gran of Nicole (John), Alex and Taylor, and great Gran of Laura and Paige. Helen is survived by her brother Norman (Diane) McLeod. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, her extended family in Scotland and many special neighbours. Helen will be sadly missed by all her friends at Palm Hill, Florida, her happy place for many years. Friends were received at the CHATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood, On., for visitation and a funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday, July 6th, 2022.
