Peacefully at Georgian Village in Penetanguishene on Saturday November 20, 2021. Mrs. Reta Basso, beloved wife of the late Samuel Wesley Basso, was in her 98th year.
Dear mother of Wayne Twigger (Joanne) and Bonna Bryan (the late Michael).
Stepmother of Jim Basso, Barry Basso, and Kenneth Basso. Proud grandmother of Suzanne Woodman (Ivan) and Patricia (Luke).
Great grandmother of the late Rachael Woodman, Max Woodman and Lilly Woodman.
Dear sister of 9 siblings (all deceased): Edna, Gordon, Wesley, Dorothy, Verna, Harold, Russell, Donald, and Orville.
The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Thursday November 25, 2021 from 11am until 1pm.
A service to celebrate Reta’s life will follow in the chapel commencing at 1:00pm with Reverend Steven Smith officiating.
Interment of ashes later in the Strong Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed, and registration may be completed on the obituary page at www.opatovskyfuneralhome.com If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
