Brooks has goal, two assists as Marlies earn 4-2 win over Senators

BELLEVILLE, Ont. — Adam Brooks had a goal and two assists as the Toronto Marlies captured a 4-2 win over the Belleville Senators in AHL action Friday night.

Toronto (45-17-1-1) took command of the contest by outscoring Belleville 3-0 in the second period to erase a 1-0 first-period deficit.

Vincent LoVerde had a goal and an assist for the Marlies, who improved to 6-3-1-0 over their last 10 games. Ben Smith and Miro Aaltonen also scored and goalie Garret Sparks stopped 25 shots.

Ethan Werek and Colin White scored for Belleville (24-36-2-3), a dismal 3-6-1-0 over its last 10, while Marcus Hogberg made 29 saves.
