The case against a Calgary man charged with the murder of a Saskatchewan man has been adjourned while lawyers wait for disclosure.
Fayiah (Victor) Braima, 23, appeared in Calgary provincial court Feb. 24. Defence requested the adjournment.
Braima was arrested Feb. 7 and charged with first-degree murder in connection to the death of Sheldon Wolf, 47, of Carrot River, Sask.
Wolf was reported missing after his family last saw him when he left the Sandman Hotel in downtown Calgary on Feb. 2 at about 7 p.m. He never returned and a missing report was filed Feb. 3.
Calgary Police say evidence connected to Wolf’s disappearance was found in Calgary's Elliston Park on Feb. 4.
Wolf’s body was found in a rural area north of Airdrie on Feb. 4. Airdrie is 28 kilometres north of Calgary.
Calgary Police Service S/Sgt. Martin Schiavetta said they believe Wolf willingly met with individuals who he had no previous relationship with prior to coming to Calgary.
Braima was denied bail at his Feb. 10 court appearance and a warrant for committal was filed on Feb. 24.
Braima’s next court appearance is scheduled for March 9 in Calgary provincial court.
