POLL: Should the Ontario shutdown include ski hills?

It's an uphill battle for downhill skiers

Two days after opening for its 80th ski season, Blue Mountain Resort found out it would have to close by Boxing Day for at least 28 days.

Blue Mountain and every other ski hill in Ontario is being ordered to close as part of the province-wide shutdown starting Dec. 26. Other outdoor recreation like cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and ice skating can carry on throughout the closure.

Soon after the province's announcement, a petition began circulating, asking the province to allow downhill skiing to continue through the shutdown. Fellow Village Media site, Orillia Matters wrote about it here.
