POLL: Are your holiday shopping plans different this year?

Are you making a list? Checking it twice? Ordering online or by phone seems nice

Ontario businesses have been on a roller coaster ride with forced closures, new protocols, control measures, and sometimes daily changes to the way they can operate.

In Collingwood, the downtown BIA has upped its Christmas decoration game this year and is encouraging residents to shop their neighbourhood. In Toronto, independent retailers face a seemingly uphill battle to compete with box stores, which remain open for customers while the small shops may only offer curbside pickup or online shopping.

On top of the rules businesses and their customers now must follow, the provincial and regional medical officers of health are asking people not to travel to regions with higher or lower transmission rates. So people living in orange zones shouldn't go to a red zone, and likewise shouldn't go to a yellow zone except for essential purposes.

So how has this impacted your holiday shopping routines and traditions?

Let us know in the poll below.
