Curling Teacup Bonspiel mad about Salvation Army

Sets up Sally Ann with $500

What a great day! The Teacup Bonspiel presented the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on Saturday, Nov. 24 and was once again well received and enjoyed by ladies from across the Province.

The Salvation Army received a donation of $500 from the Bonspiel. The first draw was won by Team Todd from Dixie, the second draw and the trophy were won by Team Bodhaine from Chinguacousy.

With 20 outside teams and four Collingwood teams, we truly captured the concept of an Invitational Bonspiel.

A special shout-out to our members and local sponsors,The Co-Operatore and ShutterPort Media and the many that donated items to our draw table - it was a huge success because of you.

The committee spends many hours on this special day and deserve to be acknowledged: Bonnie Hankie, Catherine Harrington, Cathie Gellatly, Diane Wilson, Peggy Hutchinson and Riva Glogowski - a round of applause.

A special thank you to the wonderful volunteers and our Ice Makers. Next year's Bonspiel will be Nov. 23, 2019 when the TeaCup presents "Long Island Ice Tea".
