Collingwood Special Olympics golfers medal in Owen Sound

Golfers recently took part in Hometown Games tournament

Local Special Olympics golfers found success on the links during a recent tournament.

On July 25, the Collingwood Special Olympics golf team took part in the third annual Hometown Games golf tournament at the Stone Tree Golf and Fitness resort in Owen Sound.

Four golfers participated, and all of them medalled thanks to their efforts and those of their coaches.

Golfers who took part in the tournament were Luke, Ashley, Laura and Sam. Nick was injured and was unable to participate.

Participating coaches were Patty Federer, Debbie Gibson, Patty Mulligan and Sue Diggins.

The players and coaches thank everyone who supports the various local Special Olympics programs, including the Tees Please driving range for sponsoring the golf team.
