The annual tradition of recognizing outstanding community volunteers continues next weekend with the Order of Collingwood presentations.

The Orders are awarded at the annual Mayor’s New Year’s Levee, which takes place this year on Sunday, Jan. 13 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Georgian Bay Hotel and Conference Centre.

The Levee is open to the public and will include time to chat with councillors and Order of Collingwood recipients.

This year’s Order of Collingwood inductees includes Margaret Adolphe, Gail Michalenko, Ray Smith, Wayne and Hilda Noble, and Sharon Stewart and Mark Suood. There will also be two Companions to the Order of Collingwood named, including Dr. Farel Anderson and Harold Zukerman. The Companion is given to a past recipient of the Order of Collingwood who has continued to volunteer and make a positive impact on the Collingwood community. The Order of Collingwood is presented to volunteers who enrich the social, cultural, and/or recreational conditions in the community.
