The 24th annual Collingwood Elvis Festival kicked off this morning.

The Collingwood Elvis Festival has officially begun again with opening ceremonies taking place this morning (July 27) at 11:15 a.m. at the main stage on Hurontario Street. 

Collingwood's Town Crier declared the festival open and Mayor Sandra Cooper brought greetings and welcomed guests to the festival. 

The crowd also received a welcome from Simcoe-Grey MP Kellie Leitch; Dave MacNeil, CEO of Festivals and Events Ontario; and Don Buckle of Living Water Resort. 

Elvis Tribute Artist James Gibb performed the Canadian national anthem and Memphis Jones sang the American anthem. 

There are free and ticketed events throughout Collingwood and The Blue Mountains today through Sunday for the Collingwood Elvis Festival. For a full list of events, click here.
