Two upcoming concerts will help bring a new music festival to Collingwood.

Pianist Daniel Wnukowski is the artistic director of the Collingwood Summer Music Festival, which he plans to launch this year.

In the lead-up to the event, he’s organized two events to raise funds for the festival.

On April 26 there will be a free school concert for students of Cameron Street Public School at Trinity United Church in Collingwood. The event is open to the public and admission is by donation. The concert starts at 11:45 a.m.

The following day, on April 27, there will be an evening concert at All Saints’ Anglican Church in Collingwood. The event will feature Bay Youth Ensemble and Songbird Children’s Choir as well as Wnukowski at the piano. Tickets are $25 at the door, and there will be a potluck dinner after, so guests are welcome to bring their own dish.
