There’s a good reason to bring a teddy bear to the Santa Claus parade in Collingwood on Saturday.

Links of Love charity has paired with the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital to collect teddy bears for children at the hospital.

There will be volunteers collecting the bears, which must be new and under 10-inches tall, during the Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, Nov. 16. You can also drop off a bear at Jean Vanier Catholic High School or at The Centre on High Street.

Links of Love is a charity started by Katie Pereira, in memory of her stillborn son Lincoln.

Anyone donating a bear can also take a selfie with their bear and send the photo to Links of Love to be entered into a contest with prizes from Cineplex and Collingwood Custom Furniture.
