On May 20, 2019, OPP investigators arrested the female suspect, 33-year-old Lindsey Marie Pickett of Tay Township, and have charged her with the following offences relating to an incident which occurred recently at a Tiny Beaches Road North residence.
- Robbery with violence
- Break, Enter a place - commit indictable offence
- Assault
- Theft Under $5000
All charges are contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
She was released on a recognizance to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on Aug. 1, 2019
Officers are continuing their investigation into the identity and location of the male suspect involved in this incident.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Southern Georgian Bay detachment were dispatched at 6:10 am May 17, 2019 to a Tiny Beaches Road North residence after the OPP Communications Centre received a 911 call reporting that a robbery had just occurred.
Attending officers learned that a male and female entered the occupied residence and after interacting with the home owner, removed a lock box and some personal property of the home owner and fled the scene on foot. Scene Investigators were assisted by the OPP K-9 Unit and the OPP Central Region Crime Unit is now assisting in the investigation.
