Area students are getting set to take part in a conference focusing on mental health and well-being.
Students from the Simcoe County District School Board will participate in the Choose Your Own Well-being Adventure Leadership Conference on June 9 and 16 at the board’s education centre in Midhurst.
Participants will take part in workshops to develop strategies to support their mental health and well-being, as well as those of others in the school community. The event will include a focus on outdoor education, music, gratitude, identity, and self-care.
Board staff will lead the workshops with support from Grade 11 and Grade 12 student leaders from Nottawasaga Pines Secondary School.
