NEWS RELEASE
HOSPICE GEORGIAN TRIANGLE FOUNDATION
************************

The Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation is celebrating the 11th anniversary of their annual fundraiser, the Hike or Bike for Hospice Georgian Triangle, Virtual  Edition 2.0, sponsored by Century 21 Millennium Inc.

Starting on May 1st, you can sign up online to help your local hospice.

For the month of May, everyone is invited to walk, bike, run, dance, or get active in whatever way suits you best, and get your family and friends to sponsor your efforts to raise much need funds for Hospice  Georgian Triangle.

The first 45 participants to register win an extra special prize from one of our generous local merchants, and the first 300 registrants receive an incredible welcome package from our community partners Tim Hortons, Sobeys/Foodland and Boston Pizza!

All money raised by this important fundraiser provides the hospice palliative care and palliative respite care delivered by the highly skilled clinical team at Hospice Georgian Triangle’s Campbell House and Community Support Programs team. These teams of professionals and trained volunteers provide support to everyone needing care from Town of the Blue Mountains, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and Clearview Township. This means your donations go directly to caring for your friends and neighbours.

To get involved with the Hike or Bike for Hospice, go to the website and click on the “Hike or Bike for Hospice” tab at the top left of the homepage. From there, follow the links to register as an individual participant or as a team, donate to sponsor a participant, and to buy your 50/50 tickets for this month’s draw, sponsored by Walker.

This year there are prizes for the top individual fundraiser from Kamikaze and top team fundraiser from Squire John’s. And new this year is a photo contest. Prizes for “Purrrfect Pet” and “Most Scenic Route”  will be awarded, thanks to Pet Valu Collingwood and County of Simcoe.

The pandemic continues to challenge our community in extraordinary ways, but throughout it, Hospice  Georgian Triangle continues to support the needs of individuals and families dealing with life-limiting illness, and those that are grieving and bereaved. Please add your financial support through the annual  Hike or Bike for Hospice Georgian Triangle during the month of May 2021, to ensure these free services continue for everyone who needs them. Thank you for your support!
