Snow squall warning in effect for:

    •    Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
    •    Owen Sound - Blue Mountains - Northern Grey County

Snow squalls are expected. Under the snow squall bands, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow, and snow will quickly accumulate.

Snow squalls this afternoon and evening.

Snow squalls giving local snowfall amounts near 15 cm are expected this afternoon into this evening in a stiff and cold northwest flow off of Georgian Bay.

Hazardous winter driving conditions are anticipated. Motorists should drive according to the road and weather conditions and allow extra time to reach their destination.

Snow squalls are expected to gradually weaken overnight tonight.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
