See who's running in for Collingwood and Blue Mountains council

A round-up of who's filed nomination papers to run in Collingwood and Blue Mountains in the upcoming municipal elections.

Nominations have been filed in Collingwood and The Blue Mountains for the municipal election scheduled for October 22, 2018.

So far the following candidates have registered:

In Collingwood, former OPP detachment commander John Trude has filed to run for Mayor. 

Current councillor Tim Fryer will be running for deputy mayor.

Steve Berman will be running for one of seven councillor positions and current councillors Kathy Jeffery, Cam Ecclestone and Deb Doherty are also running for a councillor seat. 

In The Blue Mountains, current councillor Michael Martin is running for deputy mayor. Peter Bordignon, president of The Blue Mountain Ratepayer's Association is running for council. Former Blue Mountains Courier-Herald reporter and Rob Potter is also running for councillor. 

Nominations are open for seven councillor positions, mayor, deputy mayor, English Public School Board Trustee and English Separate School Board Trustee.

Nominations will close Friday, July 27.
