Run, run Santa! (9 photos)

Ho Ho Holiday 5K, organized by 365 Sports, saw more than 1,000 runners dressed in Santa suits running through Collingwood this morning

A sea of Santas descended on Collingwood streets this morning as more than 1,000 runners and walkers dressed in head-to-toe Santa Claus suits participated in the HoHoHoliday 5K.

Organized by 365 Sports, this holiday fun run is heavy on the fun with Santa suits for everyone.

Collingwood Fire was also on-hand to receive a toy donation of more than 300 toys from Toronto Fire, to be given to Big Brothers Big Sisters Georgian Triangle and students at Connaught Public School.

Registration was open to all ages and the Santas gathered in the Pine Street parking lot where the start and finish line were set up.

Today is the official launch of the Christmas season in Collingwood with the Santa Claus Parade tonight at 5 p.m. on Hurontario Street.
