CHATSWORTH - Highway 10 from Chatsworth to Dundalk now open.

9:30 a.m. original release

Grey County Ontario Provincial Police urge motorists to avoid all unnecessary travel until such time that it is safe to travel. Police are receiving reports of numerous vehicles stranded.  No county or municipal snowplows are operating at this time due to the dangerous driving conditions.

Currently, the following roads are closed due to high winds and blowing snow causing poor to nil visibility and hazardous driving conditions:

- Highway 6, Chatsworth to Mount Forest

- Highway 10, Chatsworth to Dundalk

- Highway 26, Meaford to Owen Sound

- Grey Road 4 - Singhampton to Priceville

- Grey Road 7

- Grey Road 2

- Grey Road 9

- Grey Road 14

- Grey Road 18

- Grey Road 29

- Grey Road 40

Driving on a closed road is not only illegal; it's dangerous. Doing so puts you and your passengers at risk - it also puts police and all Emergency Responders at risk who come to the aid of stranded motorists.
