Sometimes a trip to the hospital can be a little nerve-wracking, especially for young children who may be ill or have suffered an injury.

Parkbridge Communities is helping to ease their anxieties through a donation of stuffed animals to the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. The “stuffies” will be handed out by hospital staff to young patients who feel the need to hug something soft.

“We’re so happy we’re able to bring some comfort to young children who may be going through a difficult time,” says Katherine Gyles, Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Talent. “The Parkbridge team has really stepped up for this great cause and we are thrilled that we are able to provide this support to the hospital for their young patients.”

Gyles presented the stuffed toys to Jack Duffy, Chair of the Board of the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Foundation. The toys were donated by Parkbridge employees from the company’s Collingwood and Wasaga Beach offices.

This is the second consecutive year Parkbridge has donated stuffed toys to the hospital.
