Here's a list of events planned in Collingwood this Canada Day

There will be many family-friendly events to enjoy in Collingwood this Canada Day weekend, with entertainment, food, and activities on the list. 

The Festival for Canada will run from July 1-3, beginning with a pancake breakfast on Friday morning followed by the family bike parade. 

In addition to the scheduled events, other downtown specials include a selfie station at the town hall, as well as live Art on the Street with mural painter Blaze Wiradharma continuing his work on the Growth mural in the alley by Northwood Gym,  and an outdoor gallery of hand-painted chairs throughout the downtown. 

Here's a list of events planned for the Festival of Canada: 

Pancake breakfast in front of town hall 
July 1, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The cost for the breakfast is $5 for adults and $3 for kids. Enjoy some of the giant games while you wait to be served by the celebrity chefs. 

Family bike parade down Hurontario Street 
July 1 at 10 a.m.

The parade begins at Trott's Sports Excellence parking lot and ends at the Collingwood Public Library. Decorate your bikes to show your Canadian pride. There are prizes for best decorated. For more information email [email protected] 

Circus Company entertainment 
July 1 and 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and July 3 from noon to 3 p.m. 

Enjoy strolling entertainers throughout Collingwood's downtown, including stiltwalkers, hula hoopers, jugglers, and more. 

Citizenship reaffirmation ceremony and Canada Day birthday cake 
July 1, noon, at the federal building (44 Hurontario St.) 

Everyone is invited to participate in the ceremony to verbally reaffirm their Canadian citizenship, receive a certificate to commemorate the occasion and enjoy a piece of birthday cake. 

Georgian Life photo booth
July 1 from noon to 3 p.m., July 2 from 9 a.m. to noon

Take home a printed photo from the booth located at the town hall.  

10th annual rubber duck race  
July 1 at 2 p.m.  

Presented by the Collingwood Optimist Club, the race starts at Hume Street Bridge and concludes at the Pretty River Bridge. Tickets are $5 each or three for $10. Cash prizes for first, second, and third place.

Porchside Festival featuring Shipyard Kitchen Party in concert  
July 1 at 7 p.m. and July 2 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Shipyards Amphitheatre

Theatre Collingwood, in partnership with the Town of Collingwood, kicks off their 2022  Porchside Festival with three free, one-hour performance by Shipyard Kitchen Party.  

Fireworks  
July 1 at 10 p.m.  

Best views are from Millennium Park, but the Shipyards Amphitheatre or anywhere along the waterfront promenade. 

Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market  
July 2 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.  at the Pine Street parking lot 

Local vendors feature a wide range of organic vegetables and fruit, baking, meats and cheeses, flowers and trees, jams and preserves, maple syrup, honey, handcrafted items and more.  

Collingwood Arts Market  
July 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.   

The market will be located between Tremont Square, Collingwood Art Alley and 65 Simcoe Street. and feature artists, vendors, live music, interactive and educational art demos and much more.  

Wild Card Street Circus  
July 2 at 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. at Sheffer Court (186 Hurontario St.)

This Family-Friendly pop-up outdoor show will keep you on the edge of excitement for a full 30 minutes, featuring aerial silks, aerial lyra and juggling.
