The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA) is hosting Customer Appreciation Week from June 1 to 7 by waiving conservation area parking fees.

“We wanted to thank our patrons who have supported us during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Kyra Howes, manager, lands and operations. “NVCA strives to provide recreational opportunities, help our next generation connect to nature and celebrate culture. It is thanks to our schools, families and conservation area users that we can continue to provide these vital services.”

NVCA’s 11 conservation areas span across the Nottawasaga watershed, each featuring unique landscapes, such as the Niagara Escarpment, rivers, wetlands and forests. Visitors are welcome to hike our trails and fish and paddle through NVCA’s conservation areas free of charge during Customer Appreciation Week.

Typically, visitors to NVCA conservation areas are required to pay $10 per vehicle per day or $70 per vehicle per year. Starting on June 8, parking fees will be collected through the HotSpot app or website.

At this time, washrooms at conservation areas remain closed and visitors are urged to pick up pet waste and pack out any garbage they bring to conservation areas.
