On Saturday Sept. 14, 2019 at 6 a.m., Trevor Dale will start his route from Newmarket to complete the ultra-marathon in 24 hours or less non-stop around Lake Simcoe. His sleepless run is raising money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of York.

Beyond a charity run for goodwill, this is a showcase of grit and gratitude from a former Little Brother uncertain of how his future would unfold, “I grew up with a single mom who did an amazing job but she wanted a consistent male presence for me."

Trevor Dale, a former member of the military, a local businessman, a proud father and husband, is running 175 kilometres around Lake Simcoe. This is no ordinary jog: Trevor has broken this run down to a formula. Apart from an array of vital equipment, he also plans to consume roughly 10,000 calories with checkpoints in Newmarket, Beaverton, Orillia and Barrie.

With support from iBridge Capital as crew, they will rotate throughout the day to supplement Trevor’s boundary-pushing efforts. Trevor aims to inspire the community, hoping to show that life is full of possibilities.

“As I run around Lake Simcoe, realizing what is truly possible in my life by seeking out new challenges, I realize that by sharing my journey that I may impact some people.”

His live location can be followed on Strava via phone app or web browser.  For more information and to make a donation, please go to: tkdale.com/BIG/
