The 163rd Fall Fair (also known at the Great Northern Exhibition), is running all weekend at the GNE Fairgrounds in Stayner, attracting people young and old from across the province together to celebrate agriculture.
According to Jim Kinnear, president of the Collingwood Agricultural Society, an effort this year was made to bring the event into 2018 by adding online ticket purchasing and online exhibitor application as a new feature.
"There are still a few bugs to work out, which is to be expected when trying something new, but it seems to have worked well," said Kinnear on Saturday.
Kinnear estimated that the weekend would see between 10,000 and 11,000 people travel to the fairgrounds, judging by the full parking lot.
The Great Northern Exhibition continues Sunday with plenty of livestock shows, tractor pulls and a demolition derby.
