A winter wonderland surrounds us and there’s plenty to do for those looking for a quick getaway.

The Simcoe County Forest, off Bass Lake Sideroad, has been a mecca for snowshoers, cross-country skiers and sledders of all types.

The county owns and manages more than 150 different forest tracts, spanning 33,000 acres. Many of these tracts have public recreation trails. For more information, click here
