Lots to do during March Break at the library

If you’re looking for ways to keep your kids and teens busy during March Break week (March 12-16), come to Collingwood Public Library for fun-filled activities, crafts, and events.

“March Break at the library is going to be incredible,” says Ashley Kulchycki, Supervisor of Children’s and Teens Services. “We have an exciting lineup of programs, including returning favourites like The Great Collingwood Paper Airplane Competition and Library Mini-

Golf, and exciting new events like Tech Tuesday and Print Making. Teens will have fun with Maker’s Market workshops. There is something for everyone between 3 and 18, and all programs are free!”

Events for children (ages 3 to 12) include:

  • Literary March Madness – start voting for your favourite book on Friday, March 2
  • Take Home Story Time Kits – starting Monday, March 5 (as long as kits last)
  • ‘I Spy’ Challenge – Saturday, March 10 to Sunday, March 18
  • Print Making – Monday, March 12 at 2 p.m.
  • Sleepy Story Time – Monday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Tech Tuesday – Tuesday, March 13 at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.
  • Library Mini Golf – Thursday, March 15 at 10 a.m.
  • The Great Collingwood Paper Airplane Competition – Monday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m.

For teens (ages 13 to 18):

  • Six Word Memoirs – Friday, March 9 to Sunday, March 18
  • Library Mini Golf – Thursday, March 15 at 10 a.m.
  • Maker’s Market Workshops – Monday, March 12 to Thursday, March 17 at 3 p.m.
  • Maker’s Marketplace – Friday, March 18 from 1 to 3 p.m.
