The Hospice Georgian Triangle (HGT) Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Trish Rawn to our HGT team as Interim Executive Director. Her first day will be Tuesday, July 16, 2019.

Trish is a highly accomplished clinical nurse specialist and nurse leader. She returns to South Georgian Bay from Margaret Bahen Hospice, where she opened the ten bed hospice in Newmarket in 2017 and led it as Director of Care since that time.

Trish's career includes her role as Palliative Care Visiting Nurse with St. Elizabeth, Nurse Consultant to the Palliative Care Network and then Clinical Nurse Specialist/Educator with the North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN.

It was in those roles that she became well known and respected in the Collingwood medical community as well as regionally and provincially for advancing palliative care.

The HGT Board wishes to thank Lynda Meeks for her excellent work as lnterim Executive Director for the past eight months. Lynda was the glue that kept our team together and thus ensured our patients and their families received the very best of care.

Amongst other initiatives, Lynda developed performance management tools, promoted significant education for staff and other leaders in the organization, and presented at both regional and provincial palliative care forums.

Her work has been recognized provincially, and she will continue to focus on these areas, leading the HGT Clinical team at Campbell House in providing exceptional palliative care for everyone in South Georgian Bay.
