Lovers of music will get a chance to hear a master musician perform on a local stage.

Collingwood’s Trinity United Church and All Saints' Anglican Church are hosting two live performances by Austrian pianist Daniel Wnukowski.

Wnukowski is a Polish-Canadian pianist living in Vienna, and has performed internationally in Europe, North America, South America and Asia both as a solo pianist and as part of an orchestra. Last year he performed at Austrian Parliament for the president in remembrance of Holocaust victims. He has received scholarships and grants for his work to promote the works of exiled composers of the 20th century.

Wnukowski will be performing in a duet concert with Collingwood pianist Keiko Yoden-Kuepfer on June 22 at Trinity United Church at 7:30 p.m.

On June 24, Wnukowski will tickle the ivories again, this time at All Saints' Anglican Church at 2:30 p.m. The Bay Youth Ensemble will open the concert.

Tickets are $25 for each concert or $30 for both. Kids 12 and under are free. Tickets are available at Trinity United Church (140 Maple Street) or at All Saints' Anglican Church (32 Elgin Street). Proceeds raised at the concert will go to the Trinity United Church, All Saints' Anglican Church and Home Horizon’s Barbara Weider House. For information on the concert or the tickets, call 705-445-3901 or visit the Trinity United Church website here.
