On Saturday, Sept. 7 from 2 - 6 p.m. at Central Park Arena the Collingwood Colts, Collingwood Girls Hockey Association and Collingwood Minor Hockey will be hosting a barbecue in support of our local hospice, Campbell House.

During this exciting day of hockey tryouts, volunteers from all three hockey associations will be serving hamburgers, sausages and drinks for a minimum donation of $5. Inside Central Park Arena kids, parents and grandparents can purchase one of the Collingwood Blackhawks jerseys for a minimum donation of $5.

All money raised through this barbecue will stay in our community, directly supporting individuals living with life-limiting illness, and those who are caregivers or bereaved. This is a great opportunity to get all the hockey associations out to spend some time together and get to know each other and to raise some money through donations in support Hospice Georgian Triangle (HGT) and Campbell House.

This support will help HGT to provide the highest quality of care to anyone in our community who needs it, not only at the end of life but throughout the disease journey.

“This is such an incredible gift from our Hockey community. The volunteers from all three hockey clubs have been so generous to HGT. We are very grateful for their significant time and energy in making sure this will be a great hockey season for everyone in our community and for including HGT in their fundraising efforts” said Janet Fairbridge, Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation Director.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the barbecue at Central Park Arena on Saturday, Sept. 7.
