All money raised by virtual participants stays in the community

NEWS RELEASE

Due to the incredible support of our generous South Georgian Bay community, Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation (HGTF) is well on its way to reaching the goal of $80K for this year’s virtual Hike or Bike for Hospice Georgian Triangle!

Between now and May 31, please consider joining in to help us smash our way through this goal and beyond so that HGT can continue to provide the frontline healthcare required to deliver the palliative and end-of-life care that our friends and neighbours require. All money raised stays in our community to care for our community.

There are many ways you can support this initiative: register as a virtual participant and do your own fundraising; donate to the event, to a particular individual, or a particular team; go for a walk, a bike ride, or do your favourite activity and snap a photo to show us what you’re up to while staying at home; share your community building photos / videos with us on social media using the hashtag #HoB4HGT and share our message with your friends, family and neighbours.

Included in your participation registration is a $10 gift card to Tim Hortons (valid at any location) and a $10 gift card to Boston Pizza (valid at both the Collingwood & Wasaga Beach locations). Thanks to Tim Hortons and Boston Pizza for being generous sponsors of these gifts!

There are prizes for the top team and the top individual fundraiser – thanks to Kamikaze and Squire John’s for helping us out with prizing again this year!

And when you need a laugh, and who doesn’t these days, check out some of the hilarious photos we have received under the Gallery Tab of the Hike or Bike website – click on the Hike or Bike logo at www.hospicegeorgiantriangle.com. Be sure to tag us on your photos on social media so we can add them to the Gallery.

Janet Fairbridge, HGT Foundation Director shared “The health, safety and well-being of our whole community as well as patients, visitors, volunteers and staff are of the utmost importance to us. We are asking for your help to bring our community “together” while maintaining physical distancing. HGTF understands this is a very stressful time for everyone, especially with the uncertainty around personal financial health. Every little bit helps HGTF, and with the addition of our four new patient beds at Campbell House, we need your help more than ever.”

Thank you for your ongoing support of the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation.
