Saturday, May 19
Art on the Street
The streets of downtown Collingwood become a gallery for 50 area artists and their hand-painted Muskoka chairs. The chairs will be out until October 6.
Collected Stories for a Better World
Quarter Century Theatre presents a new show at the Collingwood Amphitheatre featuring a multi-art production on humankind’s relationship with the natural world. The final shows are Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are available online for $20 in advance. Tickets at the door will be $40. There will be tents, so the show will run rain or shine.
Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market
The farmer’s market opens this week at 8 a.m. and runs every Saturday from now until Thanksgiving in the Pine Street parking lot.
Collingwood Vintage Flea Market
Pick up vintage, salvage, antiques, fashion, accessories and collectables at the Collingwood Flea, which is open beside the Tremont at the Simcoe and St. Paul Street intersection on the third Saturday of each month from May to October.
County Boys Concert
This concert, in support of the Collingwood G&M Hospital Foundation will also feature the Collingwood Collegiate Institute Grade 11 Jazz Band. The County Boys play down East country music. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Collingwood Legion. Tickets available online here or in person at the hospital foundation office.
Green Screen Experience
Visit the Craigleith Heritage Depot between 1 and 4 p.m. for a green screen experience. Dress in costume and take a photo from the past. Cost is by donation.
Vague de Cirque
Alain Boudreau and Noémie Gervais have brought their acrobatic adventures home to Canada. Under the marquee tent, the show features family-friendly cabaret-style acrobatics with humor, joy and poetry in an intimate setting with direct audience interaction. Tickets are $26 for adults, $20 for students and seniors and $16 for children 12 and under. Showtimes at 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday.
Blue Mountain Village
Enjoy live music, family-friendly activities, campfires and fireworks (Saturday evening) at Blue Mountain Village all weekend.
Monday, May 21
Guided Walking Tour of Collingwood
Join a local guide for a free, two-hour walking tour and discover history, humor and the best spots in town. A donation of a tip is appreciated. Tours depart at 1:30 every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from the federal building at 44 Hurontario Street. Click here for more.
