Heading into the weekend, OPP offers some safety tips (VIDEO)

With many area beaches expected to be jammed this weekend, Sgt. Kerry Schmidt suggests finding ways to avoid crowds

 

As we head into what is expected to be a beautiful weekend weather-wise in the Simcoe County area, Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt has offered up some tips to keep everyone safe.

According to the Weather Network, temperatures in the area are expected to be around 20 Celsius on Saturday morning before rising to 30 C in the afternoon and 25 in the evening. With the humidex, it will feel much hotter.

The sun should be shining all day and there will be a nice breeze from the northwest. Humidity is expected to be between 48 and 54 per cent on Saturday.
