Grey Bruce Health Unit reports 10 COVID cases in TBM, three in Grey Highlands

The latest update includes 53 new cases

Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 53 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours, including 10 in The Blue Mountains and three in Grey Highlands. 

The other cases reported today include: seven in Southgate, six in West Grey, four with location information unknown, four in Owen Sound, four in South Bruce Peninsula, three in Saugeen Shores, two in South Bruce, two in Brockton, two in Hanover, two in Saugeen First Nation, one in Kincardine, one in Meaford, and one in Neyaashiinigmiing. 

Access to lab testing is limited to select eligible groups in high-risk populations or those working with high-risk groups. Actual case numbers are underestimated because not everyone with symptoms or exposure can get tested. 

There are 523 active cases in the region, including 26 in The Blue Mountains and 36 in Grey Highlands. Six people from the region are hospitalized with COVID-19. 

Since the pandemic began, the Grey Bruce Health Unit has reported 4,421 cases, 3,868 recoveries and 17 deaths.
