Georgian is hosting an event on Sept. 24 to support mature students interested in going back to college, whether full-time or part-time, this winter or spring.
Get Help to Go Back offers an opportunity to connect with college admissions and recruitment staff. Participants can speak to a career consultant, go on a campus tour, get one-on-one support with both full- and part-time program research, college applications, and more.
Plus, if you apply in person at the event for programs starting January 2020 or May 2020, Georgian will cover your Ontario College Application Service (OCAS) application fee.
“We’ve had a great response to our Get Help to Go Back events – especially for those who have been out of school for a while,” said Jessica Lovett, Manager of Student Recruitment at Georgian. “If you’re thinking of training for a new career but aren’t sure where to start, our knowledgeable and friendly staff from our student recruitment team, continuing education, and academic upgrading are here to help with ideas and provide information about how to take that next step. We can make the process easier for mature learners.”
Anyone interested in participating should RSVP online to ensure adequate staffing. Get Help to Go Back will take place at all seven campus locations in Barrie, Midland, Muskoka (Bracebridge), Orillia, Owen Sound, Orangeville and South Georgian Bay (Collingwood), from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 24.
Participants are welcome to bring family and friends. Parking is free for Get Help to Go Back guests. You will receive detailed instructions about how to access complimentary parking when you RSVP online.
