The Town of Collingwood has announced council and staff will be meeting today at 2 p.m. for an "emergency meeting" related to planning for COVID-19.

The public portion of the agenda includes one topic: COVID-19 Planning.

Sub topics include items such as town staff health and wellbeing, critical operations, public gatherings, town hall operations, sanitizing practices, enhanced signage, emergency operations centre, communications/media, and emergency provisions.

There is also an agenda item for an in-camera session (if necessary) to deal with compensation considerations.

CollingwoodToday.ca will attend the meeting and report the outcomes and discussions.

The meeting is open to the public, however the town is recommending to practice social distancing as recommended by the health unit and, instead, watch the meeting via YouTube livestream here.
