COLLINGWOOD DOWNTOWN BIA
*************************

The tradition of Halloween and the Black Harvest Festival continues in historically Chilling Downtown Collingwood this October, with Witches (and Warlocks) of the ‘Wood taking over the town.

Mark Saturday, Oct. 30 on your calendar and prepare to come downtown to see what is brewing.

The spirit of the season has taken over many of the businesses; check out all the windows to see who has been put under the spell of the spirits. There are lots of scary things to see!

Of course, our downtown merchants invite all the good little children in costume to come for some early trick or treating. Just look for the Orange ‘Witch’ signs on the door or window to find out who has treats inside!  Plan your trick or treating time from 10 a.m. to Noon.

Travel the downtown to read the Halloween StoryWalk – start at the beginning by town hall and find the pages as you follow each step of At the old Haunted House by Helen Ketteman, right to the end!  Watch as the crew from U-Pick Parties create ghostly things out of balloons for you to take home.

Of course, Black Harvest wouldn’t be complete without a contest to celebrate the wonderfully inventive costumes.

Starting at 12:30 p.m. all good little witches and warlocks and their friends are invited to gather at the town hall for a costume contest for various age categories judged by the head witch and warlock!  There will be prizes for the best in each age category from babes in arms to age 10 and a gift to take home for all who participate.

This family-orientated Halloween celebration is a Collingwood tradition, join us, or else ...
