Collingwood General and Marine Hospital announced today there are active COVID-19 outbreaks in the medical and surgical units.
The outbreaks were declared jointly with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.
According to a news release from the hospital, there are multiple COVID-positive patients in both units. Patients with COVID-19 have been isolated and both units remain open with a division between COVID-positive and negative zones.
According to the hospital website, there are 11 COVID-positive patients at the hospital.
Visitor restrictions are in place for the two impacted units, with exceptions for end-of-life palliative patients and essential caregivers.
